Salary - NJC  Grade H1 SCP 27 - 30 £38,220 - £40,777 per annum

We are seeking a Commissioning and Market Review Officer to join the Commissioning Team and support the planning, development and commissioning of Social Care services. This is a key role, working collaboratively across internal departments and with external partners to shape and strengthen the local market.

You will play a vital part in identifying service gaps, supporting procurement processes, and ensuring robust contract management and performance oversight. Your work will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, sustainable services that meet the needs of our community.

Key Responsibilities
•    Support the development and commissioning of key social care services and programmes.
•    Work collaboratively with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to shape service delivery.
•    Lead market development initiatives to ensure a diverse and responsive provider landscape.
•    Identify gaps in provision and contribute to strategic planning.
•    Oversee procurement processes and contract negotiations with a range of providers.
•    Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with service standards.
•  Promote a broad understanding of commissioning and market development across the organisation.

Skills and Experience Required
•    Experience of commissioning and market review
•    Strong understanding of social care systems and service delivery.
•    Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently using your own initiative.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
•    Analytical skills to interpret data and inform decision-making.
•    Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
•    Self-motivated, proactive, and solution focused.
