Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: Scale 4, 5, 6 or SO1 £26,403 - £36,363 per annum

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Technical Officer to join our Licensing team within our Environmental Health department. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a broad range of regulatory services, helping to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of residents, businesses and visitors throughout the borough.
 
The successful candidate will play a key role in licensing enforcement activities while also supporting wider environmental health functions including public protection, nuisance investigation, environmental monitoring and community safety initiatives.

You will be required to be prepared to undertake formal enforcement action, in accordance with relevant statutes and guidance, serving notices, gathering evidence including taking witness statements, preparing cases and attend court/tribunals as a witness.

The successful candidate will also be required to hold a full driving licence.
