Stansfield Hall CE/Methodist Primary School is a warm, welcoming and highly inclusive school community where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish. Guided by our vision of "Let Your Light Shine", we are committed to building successful futures for our children, families and staff.

Following a period of significant school improvement, Stansfield Hall is now proudly judged Good in all areas by Ofsted and has recently secured a highly successful SIAMS inspection. Leaders, governors and staff share a strong ambition to continue building on this success as we enter an exciting new phase in the school's development.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our committed team on a temporary basis and help make a real difference to the lives of our children.

This is far more than a traditional teaching assistant role.

As a small primary school of just over 100 pupils, every member of staff plays a vital role in ensuring children feel safe, valued and inspired to achieve their very best. You will work closely alongside teachers and leaders to deliver high-quality learning experiences, provide targeted support for individuals and groups, and help create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Have high expectations for all children and believe every child can succeed.
  • Build positive, nurturing relationships with children and families.
  • Are proactive, adaptable and able to work on your own initiative.
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enjoy supporting children with a wide range of needs and abilities.
  • Are committed to making a positive difference every single day.

The successful candidate will join us at an exciting time. Alongside a growing nursery provision, the school is preparing to open a new SEMH Resource Provision in 2027, further strengthening our inclusive practice and creating exciting opportunities for professional development. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to ensuring every child receives the highest quality support and opportunities to succeed.

In return, we can offer:

  • A genuinely welcoming school community with a strong family ethos.
  • Friendly, supportive and dedicated colleagues.
  • Children who are enthusiastic, caring and eager to learn.
  • High-quality professional development and opportunities to develop your skills and career.
  • A leadership team that values, supports and invests in its staff.
  • A role where your contribution will be recognised, appreciated and have a lasting impact on children's lives.

If you are passionate about helping children flourish, enjoy working as part of a committed team and want to make a genuine difference within a caring and ambitious school community, we would be delighted to hear from you.

This is a fixed term contract pending a restructure, and will end on 31st August 2027.

To apply for this position please download the application form and supporting documentation and send completed applications to office@stansfieldhall.rochdale.sch.uk by 11:59pm on Wednesday 15th July 2026.
