We wish to appoint a SEND Advisory Officer to work within the SEND Support Team in the Local Authority's Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Service in Blackpool. You will be working with Blackpool schools and other education providers to support and implement the SEND Code of Practice and Graduated Approach. You will need a flexible approach to working with individual schools and pupils, promoting strategies to ensure inclusive practice and positive outcomes for all children with SEND. You will need to have experience of working with SEND pupils within a school setting, conducting assessments, analysing assessment data and working with parents and other professionals in a co-productive manner. Experience of working with children or young people who have cognition and learning, communication and interaction and social emotional and mental health needs will be required.
