This is a fixed-term position to provide cover during a period of maternity leave and any subsequent shared parental leave. The appointment will continue until the substantive postholder returns to work, and therefore the end date cannot be specified in advance. Reasonable notice will be given of the end of the contract.

The Governors of our successful, happy, high achieving school are seeking to appoint an effective, enthusiastic and committed teacher to work as part of our successful Team.

This is an exciting position for an inspirational, innovative and driven teacher to work within our forward thinking school- the post is likely to be in KS2.

Applicants should state their curriculum strengths, any areas of expertise with regards to subject leadership as well as stating what after school clubs they have run and would be prepared to run.

  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
  • Have the skills to ensure that all children are suitably challenged
  • Be able to consistently provide high quality learning opportunities as well as high quality pastoral support to all pupils
  • Be able to work in partnership, and communicate effectively, with pupils, parents, governors and staff
  • Have energy, resilience, enthusiasm, a sense of humour and excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Be flexible in their approach, open to new ideas and be a team player
  • Be willing to play a role in the wider life of the school
