Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 37 or 30 hours per week Salary: NJC Grade H1/H2 SCP 27-35 £38,220 - £46,142 pro-rata per annum Closing Date: Monday 20th July 2026 at 23:59 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join our Autism Team. This is a rewarding role for a motivated social worker who is committed to improving outcomes for autistic adults through strengths based, person centred practice. You will work with autistic adults, including those with complex needs, completing statutory duties under the Care Act 2014. This includes Care Act assessments, reviews, safeguarding activity and support planning. You will work closely with individuals, carers, providers and partner agencies to promote independence, manage risk and deliver effective, outcome focused support utilising a strengths based approach. The role involves managing a varied caseload and contributing to multi-agency working, including transition planning from Children’s Services and other partner organisations. You will be expected to demonstrate sound professional judgement, effective risk management and strong written and verbal communication skills. Applicants must be qualified Social Workers, registered with Social Work England, and have experience of working with autistic adults. A good working knowledge of the Care Act, safeguarding procedures and strengths based practice is essential.
