Salary: Scale 6 SCP18-22 £31,537 - £33,699 per annum

An additional dynamic role has just become available, ideal for an enthusiastic and positive individual. As the role is so varied, we're after someone adaptable with transferable skills who can handle daily queries and take on routine tasks, giving the team more capacity for strategic work.

This is a unique opportunity that will also play a supporting role in the Local Government Reorganisation programme, bringing together Councils in Lancashire during the biggest period of change the sector has seen in 50 years! Contributing to meaningful change and working collaboratively at scale.

We are looking for candidates with experience of working effectively as a team player, as well as supporting other teams, along with the ability to connect with people from a range of different backgrounds and needs. This is a demanding role that offers variety every hour, with the opportunity to learn something new every day, developing your skillset, experience and knowledge as you work across the whole organisation.

The role will cover duties such as business improvement, reputational and performance management, acting as a change agent to identify efficiencies, and supporting public relations engagement and service reviews.

Main Job Purpose:

  • Co-ordinate, drive and facilitate corporate business support activities on behalf of all internal customers
  • Lead the client role, providing support and advice to outsourced corporate support activities
  • Promote and enhance the reputation of the council using all communication channels
  • Champion and drive improvement across the whole council
