Bridgelea Primary School is a successful and nurturing specialist primary Pupil Referral Unit serving children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across Manchester.
We are seeking an exceptional Designated Safeguarding Lead and Attendance Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring that every child is safe, supported and able to thrive.
The role is based across both the Withington and Longsight sites and will provide operational leadership for safeguarding, child protection, attendance, online safety and pupil welfare.
As our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), you will lead day-to-day safeguarding practice, manage complex safeguarding and attendance cases, coordinate multi-agency interventions and ensure statutory safeguarding requirements are implemented consistently across the school.
You will work closely with children, families, staff and partner agencies to secure the best possible outcomes for vulnerable pupils.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has substantial safeguarding experience within education, social care or a related SEMH setting.
- Has experience of managing complex safeguarding and child protection cases.
- Is confident in multi-agency working and professional challenge.
- Can analyse attendance information and lead effective interventions for vulnerable pupils.
- Shares our commitment to nurture, trauma-informed practice and children's rights.
- Has excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
