The Governing Body and Head Teacher of The Cathedral School of St Peter and St John RC Primary are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Welfare Assistant to support our pupils during the busy lunchtime period. We are a joyful school, filled with kindness and calm. Our inclusive community celebrates diversity and encourages every child to be the best that they can be.


About the role

This role plays an important part in ensuring our pupils have a safe, positive and enjoyable lunchtime experience. You will be part of a team who supports, cares and nurtures every child.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Kind, patient, and passionate about working with children
  • Able to build positive relationships and encourage good behaviour
  • Confident in supervising children in both indoor and outdoor settings
  • Attentive to pupils’ wellbeing, offering support where needed
  • Flexible, reliable and enthusiastic about joining our school team
