About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Lower Kersal Community Primary School as the Class Teacher for our new Internal Enhanced Resource Provision.

This is a unique opportunity for an outstanding, enthusiastic and committed teacher to play a key role in establishing and developing a new provision that will make a lasting difference to the lives of children with additional needs.

Our Internal Enhanced Resource Provision will support a small group of pupils with SEND and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), providing high-quality teaching, personalised interventions and inclusive practice to enable every child to thrive both academically and socially.

We are looking for an inspirational practitioner who is passionate about inclusion, has high expectations for every child and is committed to ensuring that all pupils achieve their full potential. Working closely with school leaders, colleagues, families and external professionals, you will help create a nurturing, ambitious and engaging learning environment where children feel safe, valued and successful.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has high expectations and aspirations for all children.
  • Has experience of teaching pupils with SEND and EHCPs.
  • Can inspire, motivate and engage children in their learning.
  • Has a clear vision, determination and passion for helping every child achieve their fullest potential.
  • Uses effective assessment for learning to accelerate progress and inform teaching.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Values and strengthens partnerships with children, families, staff and external agencies.
  • Works collaboratively and contributes positively as part of a team.
  • Can adapt learning effectively to meet individual needs.
    This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and is excited by the opportunity to develop a provision where children with additional needs can flourish.
