Actual salary pro rata: £24,459 £26,532 per annum

36 hrs 40 mins per week/Term Time only (195 days)

SEN Allowance £1,539 per annum

Fixed Term/Secondment to 31st August 2027

The New Bridge Multi-Academy Trust is committed to supporting young people with additional needs to develop the skills, confidence and experience they need to progress into meaningful employment and greater independence. Part of the New Bridge Multi-Academy Trust, New Bridge College provides a learning space and hub for post-16 students from our 1619 population, based at our campus in the centre of Oldham.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and adaptable Destiny (digital media) Job Coach to join our Bridging the Gap Team. This exciting role combines employability support with digital and creative engagement, helping students develop the skills needed to access opportunities within media, marketing, content creation, photography, film, social media and other creative sectors.

Working within Destiny at New Bridge College, you will play a key role in supporting students within this work placement setting, helping them build the confidence, experience and workplace skills needed for future employment.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience or interest in digital media, content creation, marketing, social media, photography, film, design or related creative sectors who is passionate about supporting young people into employment


The Role:

As a Destiny Media Job Coach, you will support students in a real workplace environment (Destiny), providing tailored guidance to help them develop their skills, confidence and independence

You will work both one-to-one and with small groups of students as they undertake work-based learning opportunities within the digital and creative industry

Alongside supporting students, you will develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, creating meaningful opportunities


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in Destiny to develop employability and vocational skills
  • Deliver effective one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs
  • Help students build confidence, independence and workplace readiness
  • Develop relationships with businesses operating within digital, creative and media sectors
  • Support students to develop professional behaviours and industry-specific workplace skills
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to relevant College staff
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
  • Promote positive employer engagement and champion inclusive employment opportunities


About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young people and/or individuals with additional needs
  • Has knowledge of, experience in, or a strong interest in digital media, creative industries, marketing, content creation or related sectors
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is confident building relationships with employers and external stakeholders
  • Is organised, proactive and able to work independently
  • Has a passion for supporting young people into employment and greater independence
  • Can adapt to a variety of workplace environments and student needs
  • Preferably holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own vehicle
