Duty Officer
Are you a confident leader with a passion for customer service, health and safety, and delivering exceptional leisure experiences? Sports Blackpool is looking for a proactive and motivated Duty Officer to help lead the day-to-day operation of our busy leisure facilities.As a Duty Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers enjoy a safe, welcoming and high-quality environment. You will lead teams, oversee facility operations, support service improvements, and ensure the highest standards of customer care and health & safety are maintained at all times. 


What you'll be doing
•    Managing the daily operation of a large leisure facility.
•    Supervising and supporting staff, allocating tasks and ensuring service standards are met.
•    Carrying out safety and environmental checks, taking corrective action when required.
•    Responding professionally to customer enquiries and complaints.
•    Managing cash handling, banking and financial reconciliations.
•    Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures, risk assessments and emergency plans.
•    Supporting service development and continuous improvement initiatives.
•    Promoting excellent customer service and maintaining a positive facility environment. 

What we are looking for
•    A confident and capable leader with supervisory experience.
•    An excellent communicator who can motivate teams and build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
•    Able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
•    Passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences.
•    Physically fit, an able swimmer, and comfortable working in a fast-paced leisure environment.
•    Experienced in maintaining high standards of health and safety
•    RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or ability to achieve within 3 months.
•    RLSS UK NPLQ Trainer Assessor qualification or ability to achieve within 6 months.
•    Pool Plant Operators Certificate or ability to achieve within 3 months.
•    GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
•    Experience working in a customer-facing leisure environment.
•    Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures and practices.
