Banks Lane Junior School Job Title: Site Supervisor We are looking for a dedicated Site Supervisor to join our friendly and hardworking team. In this role, you will play a vital part in keeping our school running smoothly, safely, and looking its best for our students, staff, and visitors. The successful applicant will be responsible to the Business Manager and be required to work a split shift (7-10am and 2.30 6pm)
Your Main Responsibilities:
Site Security: Opening and locking up the school buildings and grounds.
Maintenance: Carrying out minor repairs, DIY tasks, and routine safety checks.
Cleaning: Undertaking daily cleaning duties and co-ordinating the cleaning team to maintain high hygiene standards across the school.
Grounds Care: Keeping outdoor areas, walkways, and playgrounds tidy and safe (including gritting in winter).
General Support: Moving furniture, receiving deliveries, and setting up halls for assemblies or events.
What We Are Looking For:
A hands-on, practical person with basic DIY or maintenance skills.
Previous experience in cleaning or caretaking (experience in a school setting is a bonus, but not essential).
A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently.
Excellent reliability and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for children.
Candidates should note that any offer of employment made will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment clearances to include two references and Enhanced Disclosure Procedures, a Children’s Barred List check, proof of right to work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 and other pre-employment checks where applicable.
