Contract Hours: 37 Hours Term time plus 4 weeks (48.11 weeks per year) Contract Type: Permanent Salary: NJC Grade 8 SCP 25 - 28 (£36,363 - £39,152) pro rata for part-time working Closing Date: Thursday 16th July 2026 at 23:59 pm Baines' Endowed Church of England Primary Academy are seeking to appoint a Business Operations Manager who will play a key role in supporting the academy’s strategic and operational objectives by ensuring administrative, site, ICT and financial systems are efficient, compliant and responsive to need. The postholder will contribute towards strong organisational practice, support senior leaders in meeting statutory and Trust requirements, and help maintain effective communication, data management and service delivery across the school. The role supports continuous improvement by promoting consistency, accuracy and professionalism in all administrative functions, both within the academy and, where required, across the Trust. This role is vital in providing the Trust with assurance at a local Academy level that all appropriate business and operations functions are being delivered in a compliant and statutory manner. Whilst reporting directly to the Headteacher, this role will work closely with Trust officers and the wider School Business Professional's team to ensure the Trust's statutory requirements, and strategic objectives are being met at a local level, whilst identifying opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate will be a personable and engaging character who can use their initiative and be flexible. Candidates should have good customer service, ICT and communication skills. Baines' Endowed are seeking an individual who is well-organised, efficient, flexible, calm, friendly, motivated and passionate about providing an excellent support service to the children, staff and visitors. Training will be given to the right candidate but you will require good IT skills, particularly Google Docs/Sheets and a knowledge of SIMS would be an advantage.
