Pikes Lane Primary School Deputy Headteacher Leadership Scale L12L16 (£70,275 £77,676) Start Date: January 2027 Following the promotion of our current Deputy Headteacher, the Governors and Headteacher of Pikes Lane Primary School are seeking to appoint an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to join our ambitious and values-led leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and successful senior leader who has a proven track record of improving the quality of education, developing others and leading whole-school improvement. We are looking for a leader who will: inspire pupils and colleagues through high expectations, integrity and visible leadership; model consistently excellent classroom practice and champion high-quality teaching and learning; work collaboratively with leaders to further develop an ambitious, knowledge-rich curriculum; champion evidence-informed practice, adaptive teaching and inclusive classroom approaches; use monitoring, professional dialogue and assessment intelligently to improve outcomes for pupils; develop others through coaching, mentoring and high-quality professional learning; build leadership capacity by empowering colleagues and promoting distributed leadership; lead with warmth, compassion and professionalism, building positive relationships with pupils, families and staff; place safeguarding, inclusion and pupils' wellbeing at the centre of every decision; contribute strategically to the school's self-evaluation and ongoing improvement journey; deputise confidently for the Headteacher and support the effective day-to-day leadership of the school.
