We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Forest School Instructor to join our specialist team. You will support the Forest School Lead in planning and delivering engaging outdoor learning experiences for pre and post-16 students with special educational needs, promoting confidence, independence, communication, and wellbeing through nature-based activities. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting learners with additional needs, and a patient, creative, and nurturing approach. The Personal Specification: Criteria Essential/ Desirable Source Qualifications Forest School or Outdoor Activities Qualification Desirable Application Knowledge Experience of supporting young people with an EHCP to achieve personal and academic outcomes in education and/or care setting. Essential Application Working with and supporting learners and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities including those with behaviours that challenge. Desirable Interview Knowledge of the demands of working with external organisations, especially, for example, OFSTED and Awarding Bodies. Desirable Interview Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection and processes in education settings Desirable Interview Understanding of Forest School principles and Curriculum and its learning objectives. Desirable Interview Computer Literate. Essential Interview Other Skills Proven ability to work with a variety of teams of staff.
