Working collaboratively with Early Years providers, Health Services, Inclusion Teams, Education, Social Care and VCFSE partners, you will help shape and develop a consistent and high-quality pathway of support for children with SEND from birth through to school entry.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has substantial experience of managing, leading and developing staff
  • Has significant experience working within SEND services, early years, education, health or family support.
  • Has a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, early years inclusion and early intervention.
  • Can oversee the quality of assessments, planning and interventions.
  • Has experience of multi-agency partnership working and service development.
  • Can provide professional advice, guidance and challenge across services.
  • Is committed to improving outcomes for children with SEND and their families.
  • Has excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision to Best Start Inclusion Practitioners.
  • Promote high quality, evidence-based SEND practice across Family Hubs.
  • Support early identification of need and effective intervention planning.
  • Lead on quality assurance and performance monitoring.
  • Develop strong partnerships across health, education and early help services.
  • Contribute to strategic developments relating to SEND, inclusion and Family Hub delivery.
  • Ensure services are child-centred, outcome-focused and aligned with local and national priorities.
