Contract Type: Permanent

Contract Hours: 1x29, 1x28, 1x25 per week (to be worked over 4 days between 7am - 7pm)

Salary: NJC Grade F SCP 19-24 £32,061 - £35,412 pro-rata per annum

Our children’s services team is leading the way with exciting developments to further improve the lives of children and families. The Family Hubs in Blackpool bring together a range of services for children aged 0-19 (25 with SEND), including the Healthy Babies offer.  

As a result, we want a Family Worker to work within our family hubs to deliver the Best Start Family Hub and Healthy Babies offer. 

The Family Hub Worker will deliver and support and signpost families and other agencies in Blackpool to access services and support development of new services. The role will have a key focus in ensuring that services are available which support parents interactions from pregnancy and into parenthood within the areas of Parent-Infant relationships.  

This is a unique opportunity to join a supportive team who are passionate about Early Help and committed to ensuring improved outcomes for children and their families. 

Are you the passionate candidate we’re looking for? You’ll need: 

  • experience of working with children under five and their families 
  • an understanding of the work and role of Family Hubs and of the Early Years and Child Development 
  • good communications skills both written and verbal 
  • an ability to promote information to a range of audiences 
  • The ability to deliver high quality practice and embrace our Blackpool Families Rock approach 
  • To be a reflective practitioner who embraces and promotes strengths based work.
