We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Leader to join our inclusive and forward-thinking team at Alder Community High School. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about promoting student wellbeing, improving behaviour and attendance, and supporting students and families to overcome barriers to learning.

You'll thrive in a collaborative, student-centred environment where your work will directly impact the lives of young people. This is a key role in leading pastoral care, working closely with students, families, staff, and external agencies to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.

This is a permanent appointment which is subject to a 6-month probationary period. The normal hours of work are 36 hours per week. The position is term time only (including INSET days) plus 5 additional days. The additional days will be worked flexibly to cover events outside of the normal school day or during the school holidays. Additional holidays cannot be taken during term time.
