About Our School

Banks Lane Junior School is a fully subscribed, popular, and successful three-form entry junior school, judged as ‘Good’ in our latest Ofsted inspection July 2024. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and forward-thinking non class based Deputy Headteacher with a proven track record of leadership. Working closely with the Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will be an exceptional leader who:

  • Collaborates Dynamically: Works hand-in-hand with a highly skilled Leadership Team.
  • Secures Safeguarding: Possesses an excellent understanding of safeguarding procedures and is ready to lead a positive culture of safety across the school as our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
  • Brings the Right Mindset: Is approachable, adaptable, resilient, highly organised, and thrives in a bustling, vibrant school environment.
