Library Supervisor

Contract- Permanent 

Hours- 37 per week 

Salary- NJC Grade D £27,274 - £29,071 per annum

Blackpool's eight libraries are at the heart of their communities and play a vital role promoting literacy, enabling digital access, supporting customers with enquiries and providing a safe and welcoming place for residents. 

We are currently recruiting an ambitious and forward thinking supervisor to work at Central Library. In this role, you will support a small team to help customers select books and find out information, support them with digital skills, lead activities for adults and children, and work with partner organisations. 

About you:

• You enjoy getting the best out of other people
• You are organised and enjoy working in a customer-focused and fast-paced environment

• You have a good working knowledge of ICT and ability to assist customers with digital services.
• You enjoy working with a wide range of people and partner organisations 
• You would enjoy getting involved in library activities and events for customers of all ages, including Baby Bounce & Rhyme, author visits and social groups
• You have an enthusiasm for books and reading

This post could including Saturday working and you will be expected to work at any of the library sites in Blackpool where required within your working hours.
