Contract: Permanent

Hours: 18.50 hours per week

Salary: NJC Scale 6 SCP18-22 £32,578 - £34,811 per annum, pro rata

An opportunity has arisen for a part-time Housing Services Technical Officer within the Housing Service to provide additional support within the private sector team.  The successful candidate will be supported to develop into the role and undertake duties required under the Housing Act 2004 and Renters Rights Act 2025.

The main purpose of the role is to support the Housing Standards Manager and Senior Housing Technician (Private Sector) to participate in the inspection, enforcement, investigation and administration of private sector housing matters falling within the responsibility of the Housing Services Section under the Housing Act 2004 and Renters Rights Act 2025, assessing accommodation under Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS). 

Ideally applicants should have experience of undertaking inspections of accommodation within the private rented sector and managing grant programmes.
