Graduate Projects and Sustainability Assistant

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: NJC Grade E SCP12-17 £29,542 - £32,046 per annum

There’s nowhere like Blackpool. Britain’s brightest seaside resort, with a special place in the heart of millions of visitors. Home to national icons like Blackpool Tower and its ballroom, the thrills of the Pleasure Beach and Promenade, and tram tours of the world-famous Illuminations. Scene of legendary nights at the Winter Gardens and beautiful sunrises on the golden sands.

But being the biggest and brightest brings with it serious social challenges, with some of the highest levels of deprivation in England driven by poor health, low wages and housing. We’re tackling this head on with the biggest regeneration programme the town has ever seen, whilst making the Council and town environmentally, socially and economically sustainable.

We’re looking for a talented individual to help use deliver this agenda. Sitting in a diverse corporate team at the centre of the Council, you will work with the sustainability team across the full breadth of the Council's services and with other organisations in the town. Depending on how your skills fit with our team, you will support across a range of climate adaptation and mitigation projects, whilst ensuring that the organisation adopts a strong corporate approach.
