Are you an experienced Social Work leader looking to make a real difference to people's lives?

Blackpool Council is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Team Manager to lead our Hospital Discharge Team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership within a fast-paced service that supports people to leave hospital safely, maximise their independence, and access the right support at the right time.

About the Role

As Team Manager, you will provide operational leadership and oversight of a multidisciplinary team delivering statutory Adult Social Care functions within hospital settings. You will support staff to achieve positive outcomes for residents, ensuring timely discharge planning, effective safeguarding practice and high-quality person-centred interventions.

You will be responsible for service performance, workforce management, quality assurance, supervision, and the management of risk, while developing strong relationships with NHS and partner organisations.

What We Are Looking For

You will:

• Be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Have experience of leading and managing Adult Social Care teams.
• Have a strong understanding of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and Safeguarding.
• Be an effective leader with excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Be able to motivate, support and develop staff to deliver high-quality services.
• Thrive in a busy environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Have experience of partnership working with health and social care colleagues.
