Admin Attendance Officer Permanent

36 hours per week (Term time only)

Pay scale: Grade 2B - Spinal Point 09 - 13

An opportunity for a permanent Admin Attendance Officer has become available at St. Philip’s RC Primary School.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they meet the following key factors for the post in order to be shortlisted for the role:

  • Front of House: Welcome visitors, parents and pupils; manage reception, telephone enquiries and visitor access.
  • Administration: Provide effective clerical support, correspondence, filing, record keeping and general office administration.
  • School Systems: Maintain accurate pupil, attendance and payment records using school management and IT systems.
  • Attendance: Monitor attendance and punctuality, liaise with parents and external agencies, and complete relevant reports and documentation.
  • Admissions & Events: Support pupil admissions, school trips, clubs, events, meetings and wider school activities.
  • Finance & Payments: Manage school payments, monitor outstanding balances and communicate with families as required.
  • Safeguarding: Follow and support safeguarding, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety procedures.
  • First Aid & Medical: Act as a designated first aider and support the management of pupils’ medical needs, care plans and medication.
  • Communication: Liaise professionally with parents, staff, senior leaders, governors and external professionals.
  • IT Skills: Confident use of Microsoft Office, Excel, email, school management systems, telephony and online platforms.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the Office Manager, SENCO, Senior Leadership Team and wider school staff.


The successful candidate will be supported via supervision and have access to relevant CPD for the role.
