Mauldeth Road Primary School is seeking an organised, enthusiastic and experienced Play Worker Manager to lead our Wrap Around Care team and oversee the delivery of a safe, welcoming and enjoyable After School Club for children across the primary age range.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, can support and motivate staff, and understands the importance of high-quality play, care and supervision at the end of the school day.

The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day running of the club, lead play and activity provision, supervise staff, oversee snacks and routines, promote positive behaviour, and ensure the setting remains calm, inclusive, well-organised and compliant with school policies.

They will work closely with the School Leadership Team, colleagues, children and families to ensure children are safe, happy and engaged while attending wrap around care.


We are looking for someone who:
 
  • Has experience of working with children and understands the value of play in children’s development.
  • Can lead, support and motivate a small team in a busy school environment.
  • Is organised, reliable, approachable and able to use initiative.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with children, families, colleagues and school leaders.
  • Can remain calm, fair and positive when managing routines, behaviour or unexpected situations.
  • Is committed to safeguarding, equality, inclusion and the welfare of children.
 Qualifications desired: paediatric, first aid food hygiene, safeguarding or leadership training would be desirable.
