Salary: £18,795 - £19,171 per annum, pro rata

The Governors of Devonshire Primary Academy are looking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic, hardworking and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join the Early Years team.
The post is for a job share, 16 hours per week – term time only, and we envisage the days to be Wednesday pm, Thursday and Friday. This is a temporary post until 31st August 2020, at which time it will be reviewed in line with the school budget.

We are seeking an outstanding early years teaching assistant who is passionate about learning. The successful candidate will be highly ambitious for pupils and ensure they are truly engaged in their learning. We are looking for someone who is committed to the children and has the drive to give the children the best experience and learning possible. We have a wonderful outdoor provision and would like someone who is keen to support the children both inside and outside with creativity and adventure.
The successful candidate will:
- have high expectations of learning and behaviour for themselves and others
- provide a nurturing approach to teaching, behaviour and learning
- be supportive of the distinctive ethos and values of our Academy
- lead a range of focused activities that promote learning
- work as a team member and report back to supervisors and senior management
- have an understanding of the EYFS
- demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding our children's welfare and wellbeing
