Lunchtime Supervisor

Contract Hours: Term time only, 11.25 hours per week, Mon-Fri 11:15am - 13:30

Salary: NJC Grade C 5-6 £23,500 - 23,893 per annum (pro-rata)

Required as soon as possible to join a dedicated team of staff at this popular all age schools for pupils with complex needs including those with profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties and those with multi-sensory impairments.

To work as part of a skilled team in helping to make lunchtimes a safe and happy experience for our students. You will assist them with day to day living skills e.g. help with choosing and eating a healthy lunchtime meal. Pupils also need help with personal hygiene and help in developing play skills in the school playgrounds and during lunchtime clubs.

Outline of main duties:
- To supervise pupils in the dining hall, classrooms and play areas.
- Feeding pupils where appropriate, taking into account feeding plans
- To carry out associated ancillary duties (for example setting up and clearing tables, cleaning up spillages.)
- Help with social, welfare and health matters, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
- Assist with lunchtime supervision including facilitating games and activities

The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exemption) Act 1975 and if you are successful, you will be required to apply to the Criminal Records Bureau for a ‘disclosure’. It is also subject to satisfactory medical clearance and references.
