Teaching Assistant Level 2

The governors of St. Michael’s CE Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to work as part of our staff team. You will join a dedicated staff team in our culturally diverse school initially working in Year One.

Teaching Assistant Level 2

Working hours: 30 hours per week. 8.45-3.45pm with a one hour lunch break. Term time only.

Grade: D scp 6-11 £23,893 - £25,979 per annum pro rata

(Actual Salary £16,198 - £17,613 per annum)

Start date: Tuesday 3^rd September 2024

Recent experience of working with KS1 and/or EYFS children is essential.

You will

·       Be passionate about working with young children.

·       Have experience of working in a KS1 and/or EYFS environment.

·       Have secure knowledge of how young children learn best.

·       Have excellent understanding of the National curriculum.

·       Have understanding of phonics and early reading and how to support children at an early stages of reading development.

·       Be creative and able to inspire learning opportunities for pupils in a stimulating learning environment.

·       Be a dedicated team player, demonstrating flexibility, co-operation and a willingness to take an active role in school life both inside and outside of the classroom.

·       Have excellent Maths, English, communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Be committed to working in close partnership with parents, the governing body and the wider community.

·       Be inclusive and have experience of working with children who have English as an additional language and also children with a range of special educational needs.

·       Be committed to the development of the Christian ethos whilst respecting and valuing our multi-faith school context.
