The Governors and Headteacher of Bury and Whitefield Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspirational Deputy Headteacher, who is willing to go above and beyond every day. The successful candidate will lead on curriculum, teaching and learning and assessment and will have a designated class with a 60% teaching commitment.
We are a very friendly and happy school and hold our Jewish values at the core of everything we do. We are described in the community as ‘a small school with a big heart’, placing huge value on ensuring the well-being of our children, staff and families. In March 2022, we were proud to receive a ‘good’ rating from OFSTED and this was closely followed by an excellent PIKUACH (faith) inspection. We are looking for someone who understands the challenges of school improvement and the importance of teaching and learning to inspire the children to be the best that they can be.
We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who:
· has vision and energy to make rapid and sustainable improvements to assessment
· has a proven record as an excellent teacher with high expectations of behaviour and achievement
· has a love of teaching, learning and the curriculum and is committed to developing it further
· is resilient, a team player and has a good sense of humour
· is committed to raising standards for all pupils
· has a commitment to fostering, developing and supporting the Jewish ethos of the school
· has a commitment to working in a whole-school team and leads by example
· has excellent communication skills and can work in partnership with children, parents/carers, staff, governors and outside agencies
· will become a deputy DSL to support with the safeguarding of our children
· lead a core subject and key stage
· is confident with ICT
