It is an excellent time to join the Highways Service at Rochdale Council. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Transport Planner to join the Network Improvement and Development team. As one of the ten Local Authorities in Greater Manchester, we are working on a substantial number of improvement projects utilising funding from Transport for Greater Manchester and Central Government including Bee Network and Active Travel Funds.
You will work on key projects to improve the Highway network across the Borough and through all aspects of the projects; developing concept designs, securing funding, public consultations, ensuring successful delivery of the project including developing business cases and commissioning the delivery of the proposals.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a Highway Transport Planning environment.
