Homelessness prevention and meeting housing needs are key strategic priorities for Salford and we are pleased to be able to offer this exciting opportunity to enhance our multi-agency approach to these important areas of work.

With a proven track record of stakeholder management and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels, we are looking for a dynamic individual to drive and steer delivery of some of our key homelessness and housing strategic priorities.

Based within the Housing Strategy Team, the postholder will work in collaboration with our Housing Options Service and a range of partners to facilitate improved partnership arrangements across the city. A key aim will be to ensure that partners contribute to the early identification of those at risk of homelessness in order to facilitate early engagement with services, to maximise homelessness prevention.

Your strategic / analytical skills, and ability to engage with people with lived experience, will also enable you to further inform and develop our wider strategic plans.

Similarly, the postholder will have proven experience in understanding and applying homelessness law and will be adept at processing and communicating complex information in a way that can be understood by members of the public, to deliver section 202 homelessness reviews.

Our values of pride, passion, people and personal responsibility are at the heart of everything we do and they are central to the way in which we behave with colleagues, customers and partners.

Please include along with your CV and a supporting statement, which evidences your skills and experience in the following areas: stakeholder engagement, producing documents for a range of audiences including reports, excellent verbal communication skills including presentations to a wide range of audiences, collecting, interpreting and presenting data and applying homelessness law.

Any internal candidates seeking a secondment must seek the approval of their line manager before applying.

For any queries about the post, please contact Andrew Leigh - Head of Strategy and Enabling: andrew.leigh@salford.gov.uk
