Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have excellent administrative and computer skills – and excellent English skills (clear written and spoken English) along with good reading, writing and numeracy skills - as this make ups a large part of the role. You will need to have good up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, sound assessment, and problem solving skills.

You will work in the community and be responsible for assessing people with disabilities and recommending appropriate interventions, which may include equipment, minor adaptations and major adaptations to people’s homes. In addition to this you may need to demonstrate to service users and carer’s alternative ways of carrying out daily living tasks, to enable people to remain as independent as possible. You will be able to work independently, be a good team player, and have proven organisational skills.

In return you will be part of a large supportive team that includes Occupational Therapists, Social workers, assessors, manual handlers and Health & Wellbeing Advisors. In addition there is also excellent management support for your continuing professional development.
