Your role:
The Waste and Resources Team are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated person to join its Contract Management Team.
This is an ideal opportunity for you to contribute to the Contract Management Team, supporting the GMCA Waste and Resources Team as a Contract Monitor. This role involves monitoring recycling and waste management facilities and using contract monitoring systems to ensure the services are operating to the contracted specifications and standards.
About you:
We are looking for an individual who are methodical, confident, and can communicate effectively with the ability to develop strong working relationships with the Greater Manchester Authorities, members of the GMCA and external partners.
You will hold qualifications in waste management; environmental fields; or other related provisions (or have appropriate and relevant work experience in these fields).
You will have experience of working in a public sector / political or operational environment; be highly organised; be proficient in report writing, with a strong attention to detail and can plan and prioritise your workload.
You will have your own transport and be required to travel across Greater Manchester conducting onsite inspections at each of the contract facilities, reporting on their performance.
