Facilities Assistant

As a Facilities Assistant you will provide an effective help desk service needed to deliver services in the most effective manner.

In this role you will assist the Property Services Section in all aspects of maintenance, consulting with staff and contractors. You will also be responsible for the co-ordination and allocation of reactive maintenance work for both internal and external parties/contractors. You will work in partnership with all service users to ensure that the Facilities Helpdesk delivers a consistent approach across the facilities daily, resolving any issues that may arise.

You will have excellent communications skills and be responsible and dependable and have experience of working as part of a team.

Who are we?

Join the Facilities Management team and be part of a team that ensures all aspects of maintenance, consulting with staff and contractors. GM are maintained to a high standard to ensure passenger safety whilst using the transport network.

Upon joining the team, you will be provided with support from team members and training.

You’ll have experience of working and managing helpdesk software updating the systems when required. You’ll have excellent computer skills and significant experience in using Microsoft applications. You will have a technical background and extensive customer service experience. Have experience of producing weekly and monthly reports. You will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent and have equivalent levels of experience.

This is a permanent role and comes with a salary of £28,069 - £29,881 per annum depending on skills and experience. You will work as part of a team who are high performing and very welcoming. Within the role, you will have the opportunity to develop yourself and your skills within the team.
