Welcome to the STARS (Short Term Assessment and Reablement Service) part of Rochdale’s award winning Adult Care Services department. It’s an exciting time across Adult Care Services, as we embark and continue on our change and transformation journey to truly make a difference to the lives of our residents.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and forward thinking person to join our team as a Reablement Support Assistant.

The STARS team, which works in partnership with health colleagues, is an essential service which helps to improve patient flow, prevent delayed discharges, prevent admission to hospital and free up vital hospital beds

What we’re looking for?

• An effective multi-tasker with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
• Have your own form of motorised transport and be able to travel around the Borough of Rochdale.
• A motivated and forward thinking person, who can demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm.
• A team player.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A person who is passionate about supporting older people and vulnerable residents, with a caring approach at the heart of everything you do.
