Grade: G scp 23 £17,217 to scp 27 £19,110 plus essential car user allowance.
Contract: Permanent 18.5hrs per week.
Role specifics: Must hold full UK driving licence.

The Role
Are you passionate and committed to improving the lives of adults with care and support needs? Are you able to converse with a wide range of people and build positive working relationships? If so come and join us! We are looking for a new colleague to be a part of our dedicated and friendly Quality Assurance & Improvement Team.

Within this role you will be responsible for the quality, contract monitoring and improvement of a range of services within the borough of Bolton.

As a valued member of the team the post-holder will be responsible for managing the relationship between the Council and providers of our commissioned services. Specifically, they will hold a portfolio of contracts and will develop and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of service providers and partner agencies.

The post holder will work closely and proactively with our contracted providers to demonstrate they are meeting the Council’s contract requirements, are prepared for regulator inspection, are delivering a high quality and safe service, and are working to continuously improve. The post holder will carry out regular visits to providers’ premises and will also have the important task of interacting with service users to gather their views.

A full induction programme will be put in place for the successful candidate.

About You
You will have a demonstrable understanding of contract or quality monitoring and improvement and/or experience of working in a social care or health environment.

You will have excellent all-round communication skills, have well-developed networking skills and have the ability to build effective relationships with providers and partner agencies. You will have an inquisitive mind and be confident to challenge when our regulator (CQC) standards are not being met. Working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes will be second nature to you. You will be competent at analysing multiple information sources and report writing. You will be passionate about quality services and feel comfortable with talking to our services users, their carers and families.

As noted the role requires the post holder to travel within the Bolton area.
