About the Role

The purpose of the role is to deliver the Radcliffe Pride in Place Programme and lead the soon to be established Radcliffe Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board.

The Chair will be someone who can bring the Radcliffe community together to share their ideas in an open and collaborative way.

The Chair’s primary job is to be a champion for Radcliffe and to embody the community-led spirit of the Pride in Place Programme. The Chair can be new to this kind of work but should have a deep connection to Radcliffe.

This is an important voluntary role (like a school governor or charity trustee). Reasonable expenses will be paid.

If you think that this role might be for you, please see below for more information and how to apply.

About Pride in Place

UK Government (The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government) has selected Radcliffe to receive £20m of Pride in Place funding to support regeneration over the next 10 years.

This long-term investment is intended to support communities in shaping their place and help address local priorities, making lasting and positive change for their area. While success will look different in every place, the strategic objectives of the programme are to:

  • build stronger communities
  • create thriving places
  • empower people to take back control

Radcliffe was selected because it meets the programme’s criteria, including need measured through the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) and the Community Needs Index (CNI).

All recipients of Pride in Place funding must appoint a Chair and establish a board to oversee delivery of the local Pride in Place programme and we now seek applications for the role.
