Your role: As a Tree and Asset Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting the Council’s tree stock across parks, highways, cemeteries and open spaces. You will carry out safety and quality inspections of parks, highways and open spaces, as well as monitoring litter and detritus standards. You will ensure all inspections comply with current British Standards and relevant legislation, maintaining accurate records and raising work orders where needed. You will support the development of key strategies, provide quotes for tree work, and work closely with stakeholders, agencies and contractors to resolve site issues, support improvements and provide expert advice. Working in a fastpaced, forwardthinking Parks and Streetscene service, you will play a key role in protecting trees, improving parks and maintaining high environmental standards. The position provides variety, professional autonomy and the chance to apply and develop specialist arboricultural knowledge. You will contribute toward strategic improvements, support sustainable planting, and take the lead in prioritising and scheduling works.
