North West Employers is a not-for-profit, membership organisation and we work closely with all the councils across the North West. We’re looking for someone to join our small, but perfectly formed organisation as a member of the Business Development Team. We’re a busy team; providing project co-ordination and administration support across the business to make sure that we deliver a high-quality and efficient service to our members and wider clients. If you have a passion for great customer service and working as a team, we’d love to hear from you. The work is varied one minute you could be working with our associate team and customers to set up a training programme, the next supporting the facilitation of an online network meeting across the North West and sharing what we do on social media. Role Profile: Work as part of the Business Development Team to provide high quality and customer-focused project and administrative support to the organisation to protect and retain core business, support new business and ensure our members and customers consistently receive the best possible products, services & outcomes from North West Employers. Use project co-ordination skills to manage a range of activities and events across the business. Liaise with internal colleagues, customers, commissioners and associates to ensure services and products are delivered in a timely manner. Proactively respond to customer enquiries and promote and support all aspects of our business delivery. Support the Business Development Managers in making sure processes and services are quality assured and that feedback and learning from members, customers and associates is captured and responded to. Maintain up to date information on the Customer Relationship Management system to ensure we have accurate data for customer intelligence and financial purposes. This role has a career pathway, with an opportunity to develop into a Business Adviser role, providing specialist advice and support in our key business areas. What Is AI and How Do We Use It Across Greater Manchester?
AI refers to technology that can create or refine content, such as text, ideas, summaries, or planning. It can help improve productivity, problem-solving, and creativity.
We’re open to using innovative digital tools where they can help us work smarter and deliver better services for our residents. However, every use of AI is carefully considered to make sure it is ethical, responsible, and aligned with public-sector values.
When it comes to recruitment, we take a human-centred approach.
This means:
A trained hiring manager reads every application
Shortlisting is based on objective criteria required for the job
Interviews are conducted in person or via teams by the hiring manager for the role
All hiring decisions are made by hiring managers, not algorithms
AI does not make decisions in our recruitment process and our managers are being upskilled to spot AI in applications, particularly when this might have been used in a way that doesn’t feel genuine. If something in an application raises a question or concern, we will test this out with assessments or at the interview stage to confirm authenticity.
Our aim isn’t to catch anyone out but to make sure we’re getting to know the real you, giving every candidate a fair chance and finding the right person for the role.
