About the Role

Trafford IT and Digital Services play a pivotal role in delivering the Council’s Corporate and NHS Locality Plans driving digital transformation across Trafford Council and NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care services. Our teams play a vital role in delivering modern, reliable, and secure technology solutions that support the Council’s Corporate Plan and NHS Locality Plan.

As part of our IT Operational function, you’ll be joining a forward-thinking team that manages and supports the technology landscape powering our business applications and frontline services. Following ITIL best practices, we’re committed to delivering high-quality, secure, and reliable IT services that align technology with business needs and maximise value for our residents.

We are seeking a talented IT Specialist with expertise in SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to join our IT Operations team. This role will support the delivery, administration, and enhancement of our M365 environment with a focus on SharePoint and MS Teams, ensuring they remain secure, well-governed, and fully optimized for user productivity.

You’ll be a key technical resource for both SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams, providing expert support, making improvements, and helping our council get the most from Microsoft 365.

About You

We’re looking for someone with handson experience in administering SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams, supported by strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and Azure AD identity management. You should be familiar with Power Apps, Power Automate, and integration capabilities across Teams and SharePoint, as well as having experience supporting the Teams voice system. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with a proactive, userfocused approach and a genuine passion for digital workplace technologies.
