The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic and committed part-time Information and Administration Assistant within the Start Well Service, based in our Best Start Family Hubs.

You will provide a friendly ‘meet and greet’ service, managing our reception effectively for local families and other partner agencies into the Best Start Family Hub. You will continually develop your knowledge to provide information and signpost to families to the range of support offered through the Hub and the wider Family Hub network. Your customer service and administrative skills will be utilised in a range of tasks including collating and inputting data, updating our digital channels and providing administrative support across all functions of the Start Well Service. You will support the safe running of the centre alongside our team of Centre Assistants.

The role includes managing room bookings, handling telephone and email correspondence, note taking, petty cash administration, purchasing and budget monitoring, and you will always maintain confidentiality.

You will work as part of a rota, so a flexible approach to work is essential. Rostered hours are between 8:30am and 1pm, 1x five mornings per week, and 1x two mornings (Wednesday and Friday) working 3 hours, 42 minutes per shift, with an occasional Saturday as part of a shared rota.

You will specifically provide cover across our network of eight Best Start Family Hubs, so a willingness to travel across the borough is essential.

About You
The successful candidate will have some experience of working with families, good communication skills, experience of administration and ability to work as part of a team. You will hold an NVQ level 2 in Customer Services or Administration or have relevant experience. You will be keen to take on new challenges as these arise and develop your own knowledge and skills.
