An exciting opportunity has arisen within Tameside Youth Justice Service for an Education, Training and Employment (ETE) Practitioner to join our dedicated and passionate team. This is a key role focused on improving life chances by helping children reconnect with learning, build confidence and progress into positive and sustainable education, training and employment pathways. Tameside Youth Justice Service is committed to reducing offending and reoffending by children and young people, while safeguarding those at risk and protecting the public. We work with children, families, partners and communities to create “a place where everyone can achieve their hopes and ambitions.” About You The ETE Practitioner role will work collaboratively with Youth Justice practitioners, families, schools, SEN services, colleges, training providers, employers and voluntary sector partners, and will act as a vital link between the Youth Justice Service and wider education and employment systems. The role will provide targeted support and challenge to address barriers such as unmet SEND needs or disrupted learning, while promoting inclusive opportunities that support positive and sustained outcomes. The postholder will complete ETE screenings, formulate and deliver tailored plans, prioritise children who are offroll, excluded or leaving custody, and monitor attendance and progress across education or training placements. The postholder will also develop and deliver structured sessionsincluding AQA accredited programmes.
