The Role
We’re looking for two people who can help us deliver some really exciting transformation activity in Bolton, as part of a small and friendly team. Our Transformation Strategy sets our plans out in more detail, and is evolving continuously. If you have experience of delivering change, strong project management skills and a desire to improve services for our customers, then this could be the role for you. There will be lots of opportunities to learn and develop your experience, working with a Senior Change Manager. The two roles we’re filling will both be supporting our Corporate Support Services transformation priority.

One role will focus on our Workforce Programme until it concludes, as well as supporting our Human Resources, Organisational Development and Health & Safety transformation and this is a two-year fixed term contract.

The second role will support a range of other transformation priorities, including Exchequer Service and Finance, and is a 12-month fixed term contract, due to the secondment of a team member into a promotional opportunity.

About You
You’ll need demonstrable experience of using a range of review and continuous improvement methodologies to help us improve our services with the customer in mind. You’ll need to evidence an ability to communicate and engage effectively with multiple stakeholders at different levels, achieving positive outcomes and progress at pace. And you’ll need to be organised and able to keep things on track in an environment that’s constantly changing. You’ll be directly collaborating with each other and the wider team to ensure that our work is joined up and successful.

If your experience and skills sound like a good match, please apply no later than Sunday 12th April, providing your Curriculum Vitae (CV) and a covering letter of no more than 2 sides of A4, answering the following questions:

Describe a specific instance where you analysed a complex problem and made a recommendation. Include what data or evidence you used, how you structured your analysis, what you recommended and why, and what happened as a result.

Give us an example of a service improvement you have personally delivered. Set out the service and problem, your specific role, the approach or methodology used, and the outcomes you achieved.

You should refer to the person specification for this role when considering your answers.

Interviews will be taking place towards the end of April/early May. For an informal discussion about these roles, please contact nicky.connell@bolton.gov.uk to arrange a time. No agencies, thank you.
