Your role: Working enthusiastically and professionally as a Civil Enforcement Officer, remaining calm and patient in stressful situations while communicating effectively with the public, often in challenging circumstances. You will work both independently and as part of a team, paying close attention to detail and managing tasks through effective organisation and prioritisation. You will work flexibly across different bases, including weekends, and complete simple reports using handheld devices. The role requires learning relevant enforcement legislation, travelling across the borough as needed, and walking long distances in all weather conditions. About you: We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual who will enjoy working in an exciting Civil Enforcement Officer role.You must be self-motivated, with good interpersonal and communication skills. You would issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) to any vehicles parked in contravention of the parking regulation and in accordance with the management Traffic Act 2004 About us: Wigan Council has been voted ‘Overall Council of the Year’ at the APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence) Awards.
