Senior Project Manager opportunities Low Carbon Team
GMCA is recruiting two experienced Senior Project Managers to help lead major low carbon programmes across Greater Manchester. These roles will take projects from early concept and business case through to delivery at scale, supporting districts and public sector partners to accelerate decarbonisation.

You will work across strategy, policy and delivery, shaping new propositions, testing feasibility, developing business cases and delivery models, and guiding investment decisions. The role also involves managing research commissions into new technologies and delivery approaches for public estate decarbonisation, while helping build scalable commercial models and partner offers.

We are looking for people with strong project and programme management experience, excellent stakeholder skills, and the confidence to provide clear technical and commercial advice in a fast-moving environment. Knowledge of areas such as energy systems, markets, economics, finance, procurement, grant administration, business case development, and tendering will be highly valuable. Experience of local government and public sector partners, particularly schools, would be a plus.
