About the role Location: Bury Town Hall / across the Borough Bury Council’s Homelessness & Housing Options Service is looking for an experienced and motivated Asylum & Immigration Coordinator to lead and coordinate asylum and refugee support across the Borough. You will manage a small team, work closely with the Home Office, GM partners and local services, and ensure that adults and families seeking asylum receive highquality assessments, support planning and pathways into housing, community integration and independence. This role involves partnership working, project leadership, contract oversight and solving complex issues in a fastmoving and politically sensitive area of work. You’ll support the transition of new refugees into mainstream society, help prevent homelessness, and develop strong operational links across key stakeholders. We’re looking for someone with strong knowledge of asylum, immigration or homelessness, excellent communication and problemsolving skills, and experience of complex caseloads. Hours: 37 per week
Contract: 1year fixed term (with potential for extension)
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
