You will receive an allowance per mile of business use. An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager level 2 (Works Manager) within the Housing Contracts and Investment Team in Strategic Housing. The team is responsible for the delivery and contract management of a number of high-profile housing led schemes across Manchester. The team also have strategic responsibility for Building & Fire safety, Regulation and zero carbon delivery plan. We are looking for a dynamic team player who will enjoy the varied and challenging work in contract management, performance management and ensuring services delivered are to a high quality. Your role You will act as the Councils key representative in ensuring that compliance is achieved by all our contractors in relation to housing legislation and contractual requirements. You will have the responsibility for the management and delivery of a range of projects across the team. You will ensure that all our contractors complies with the contracts, service delivery specifications, and procedures and to take appropriate action where the Contractor is found to be non-compliant. You will take a lead role in promoting an effective relationship, good communication and mutual co-operation between the contractors and stakeholders both internally and externally to the Council. You will also be responsible for reviewing the contractors performance including the application of any financial deductions set out in the contractual documentation.
