Buile Hill Park Ranger

Grade 2C (£29,540 - £31,537) | Salford | Greenspace and Streetscene

We are looking for an enthusiastic and community-focused Park Ranger to support the Development Phase of the Buile Hill Park National Lottery Heritage Fund project.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of a historic parkcombining hands-on park management with community engagement, volunteer coordination and heritage-led project work.

About the role

You will:

  • Support delivery of Development Phase activities and pilot projects
  • Work with volunteers and local communities to shape future plans
  • Deliver events, engagement and educational activities
  • Contribute to the park’s long-term management and Heritage Fund bid
  • Help maintain a safe, welcoming and well-managed park environment

About you

You will have:

  • Experience in parks, greenspace or a related field
  • Strong communication and community engagement skills
  • Knowledge of horticulture, landscape or conservation
  • Ability to work outdoors and manage a varied workload

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.50.
