Ref: 001578 The Trustees are looking to recruit to the post of Outreach worker The Springboard Project, Oldham Town Centre NJC scale points 12-17: £28,598 - £31,022 per annum (Full Time Equivalent) Actual Salary: £24,459 - £26,532 per annum Plus SEN Allowance (£1,539.00 per annum) 2 x Term-time, Permanent 1 x Term-time, Fixed term Commencing as soon as possible The Springboard Project, part of the New Bridge Multi Academy Trust in Oldham, provides innovative, highquality education for young people aged 1419 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Rooted in a Maslow before Bloom philosophy and a relationshipfirst approach, the provision supports students to overcome barriers, reengage with learning, and move confidently into adulthood, employment, further education or training. We promise to ensure all our students have the opportunity to: We also believe that we cannot support our young people in isolation, and so always look for innovative ways to support our wider community, the young people’s families. This can be through offering a friendly ear / support to the adults around our students through to real, practical support via our ‘Project Pantry’, a one-stop option for families struggling with the cost of living crisis. Springboard Project is part of the New Bridge Group, a specialist MAT focussed on supporting young people across Greater Manchester with additional needs. Through the MAT, and our partnerships with wider external agencies, we can support our young people up to the age of 25, ensuring they have the best possible outcomes and move successfully into adulthood. This role will form a key part in expanding our Adaptive curriculum offer; we are looking for innovative and passionate people to join our Elevate team, providing face to face mentoring , tutoring and support to students who are struggling to access traditional educational settings. You will be very independent, working on a case-load of students, deploying various skills and techniques supporting young people to become re-engaged with their education. You will be working with a a team if intervention workers and under the oversight of a middle leader, and supported by one of the Senior Leadership Team. You will be a crucial element in completely changing the life chances of some of the most vulnerable young people. We are looking for a team of people who will provide the relational support and engagement with young people where they are either physically or emotionally, so potentially in their home or community venues, and even out of traditional school hours. Applicants should be able to demonstrate how they meet the following essential criteria: New Bridge MAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must have a commitment to safeguarding young people.
